The Challenge

The solution required the creation of an anatomical map of circulatory bodies. Several versions of each asset were rendered to represent various surgical stages: pre-op, surgery, and post-op.

The Solution

All components were created in Adobe Photoshop consisting of hundreds of layers. Elements were animated using Adobe Animate, with additional assets created specifically for animation built in Photoshop.

Impact

Published across four medical journals, the visualization became a key educational tool for the MILLER Banding technique and its clinical applications in dialysis access.

Technical Approach

The project required meticulous attention to anatomical detail and medical accuracy. Each frame was built from hundreds of Photoshop layers, allowing for precise adjustments and ensuring the visualization could be adapted for different publication formats.

All illustrations were created using 2D techniques in Adobe Photoshop and animated in Adobe Animate (formerly Flash). This approach provided the level of control and detail required for medical publication standards.
