The Challenge
Create a cohesive suite of retail materials (from price tags to training content) that maintain brand consistency while serving different purposes across multiple touchpoints.
The Solution
Developed customized info tags, retail collateral, and training materials in Adobe Photoshop. Custom signage was tweaked regularly to include cross-promotion for bundles and credit card financing offers. A "Break/Fix" video loop was created to display on laptops and MacBooks to promote repair and upgrade service offerings as well as protection plans.
Enhanced Price Tags
The standard Best Buy price tag is a two-color printed label with basic product info and a price. We designed a parallel system: full-color, graphically enhanced info tags printed on photographic paper and placed directly alongside the standard tags on the shelf.
These were not replacements. They were additions. A customer standing at the shelf would see the standard tag and, right next to it, a detailed, visually designed card with feature callouts, service tier comparisons, and cross-references to in-store technical service offerings like Geek Squad protection plans, repair packages, and upgrade bundles. The goal was to give customers something to actually read and compare at the point of decision, rather than walking away to look it up.
Tags were updated regularly to reflect current promotions, bundle deals, and financing offers. A Russian-language variant was also produced to serve the store's local demographics.
Employee Collateral and Video
Beyond customer-facing materials, the scope included training collateral and a "Break/Fix" video loop produced for display on in-store laptops and MacBooks. The loop promoted repair, upgrade, and protection plan services passively, running on live floor units while customers browsed.
